Perkins, 24, went to camp with San Diego as an undrafted free agent in 2005 and spent time over the past two seasons on the Chargers' practice squad. Dolphins HC Cam Cameron, formerly San Diego's OC, apparently needs some depth at the position familiar with his scheme.
