The Facts:
Dolphins GM Randy Mueller and Kansas City president Carl Peterson continue to discuss a Green trade, but there has been no movement to suggest the sides are any closer to a deal today than a month ago. The Dolphins have offered a seventh-round pick for Green but are likely to sweeten that offer. They will not, however, give up the second-round pick Peterson wants now.

According to Herald staffer Armando Salguero, the conversation between the sides also included talks about players currently on the Dolphins roster. Those talks primarily involved starting players to which Mueller balked. Salguero went on to suggest the most likely scenario is that Miami gives up a mid-round pick this year and a pick for 2008 that will be determined by how much Green plays in 2007.
