Rams HC Scott Linehan said he would entertain the prospect of bringing Williams to St. Louis as the team's No. 2 running back. Williams played for Miami when Linehan was Dolphins OC in 2005. "Based on how he played and the kind of person he was to be around, and the professional he was, I would certainly consider it," Linehan said Thursday. "He's proven himself with me. ..."

unlikely to happen before next weekend's draft, the Rams would have to work out a trade with the Dolphins. ... In other words, there are still a number of obstacles standing between the Rams and Williams.
