The Facts:
The reason for Cam Cameron's Thursday firing of running backs coach Bobby Williams remains unclear. But it's believed Ronnie Brown didn't help Williams' cause by being over his target weight at last weekend's mini-camp and fumbling during one of the sessions.

If this report is true -- and Sun-Sentinel staffer Alex Marvez is as reliable as they come -- Williams' sudden and unexpected firing should send a strong message to Brown and everybody else in the locker room. That it came at the expense of a position coach hired by Cameron's predecessor Nick Saban isn't a total shock, but the timing certainly is. And it should put the Dolphins on notice.
