The Facts:
If the Giants take a wideout in the first round of Saturday's draft, it will speak volumes about their thoughts on Toomer's recovery, even though he insists, "I'm a little ahead of schedule." He is already running and will soon be doing sprints. He's feeling so good, in fact, that he won't rule out participating in mini-camp, June 13-15.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Toomer will be 33 in September and he is coming off a torn ACL in his left knee -- both good reasons for the Giants to consider drafting a receiver. Even Toomer admits that's a possibility. He just doesn't see the need. "I think my knee will be 100 percent," said Toomer. "I don't have any reservations. I think I'm progressing really well. Everything is going in the right direction. I plan on competing in training camp and playing in the first couple of games. ..." We'll find out if the Giants believe him this weekend. As Toomer put it: "I'm not worried. But they might be."
