The Facts:
Evans, who signed a one-year contract, will compete with Jamar Martin, Sammy Morris and James Lynch to replace recently-released incumbent starter Rob Konrad. An above-average blocker, Evans was drafted in the third round by Seattle in 2001, but primarily backed up Mack Strong. He has 33 carries and 12 catches in four seasons.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Evans is hoping make a more significant contribution in Miami, due to the team's scheme. "When I sat down with the running backs coach (Bobby) Williams, he showed me the variety of Miami's offense," he said. "A lot of it is motion stuff, slot positions, split-out positions. I'm excited about the offense because it's not a traditional fullback. And at this stage of my career, I'm ready for a new challenge."
