Drew Brees Ready To Work, Eager To Improve
(4/26 12:55 PT)

The Facts:
Brees, who said he's no longer limited by a dislocated non-throwing elbow injury suffered in the Pro Bowl in February, joined the Saints' off-season workout program last week. He said he could have started football drills as early as three weeks ago. Last week, in fact, Brees played pitch and catch with tight end Eric Johnson, one of the team's free-agent acquisitions. Reported by the Baton Rouge Advocate

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Brees said his elbow probably isn't 100 percent just yet, but it's "where I want it to be right now." He is able to do everything in the weight room and in the conditioning program, and he hopes by the end of the summer, his left arm will be even stronger than it was before. ... Meanwhile, Brees is eager to see how the Saints do in this weekend's draft and said the team can improve on its league-leading offense. "I think you can always become more efficient," Brees said. "There's always things you can get better at." That, of course, would be good news for Fantasy owners.
