Despite Peterson's claim, Cleveland Plain Dealer reporter Mary Kay Cabot advised readers this morning that Peterson's agent, Ben Dogra, concedes that Peterson might need surgery, which as Profootballtalk.com editor Mike Florio suggests, would knock him out of all off-season workouts. Dogra told Cabot the team that drafts Peterson will have to decide whether a plate should be surgically inserted into the site of the injury. "It's not a foregone that he'll need the surgery," said Dogra. ... At this point, it appears some teams think that surgery will be necessary and others don't.
