More On Randy Moss; Packers, Pats Interested

The Facts:
Following up on a previous item. ... The Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots are believed to have talked with the Raiders regarding a trade for Moss, but neither team was willing to give up the asking price -- believed to be something as high as a second-round draft pick in today's draft. "Nothing's been finalized," one team source said Friday. Reported by the San Francisco Chronicle

According to Chronicle staffer David White, Raiders HC Lane Kiffin spent part of Friday trying to attract a first-day draft pick in exchange for Moss, who has not backed down from trade demands that began midway through last season. And while they haven't had any luck yet, we'll remind you that NFL Network insider Adam Schefter believes a deal could be consummated this weekend -- assuming owner Al Davis signs off on the deal and the team trading for Moss can restructure his contract. Moss has two years and $20 million remaining on his current deal. ... Stay tuned.
