With the 28th pick in the 2007 NFL Draft (acquired from New England via trade), the 49ers select Central Michigan's Staley. Reported by FootballDiehards.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to his NFL.com scouting report, the 6-5, 302-pound Staley needs to add more bulk to play left tackle at the next level, but his strength and speed are great assets that will make him ideal protecting the quarterback's blind side. That's something they don't have right now. For the record, San Francisco gave up next year's 1st round pick and this year's 4th rounder to land Staley.
