According to his
NFL.com scouting report, the 6-3, 222-pound Edwards once was one of the most touted high school QBs in the country, but his Stanford career was mostly a bust. His starting career was marred by injuries as Edwards took a beating behind a poor offensive line. He never really had a chance to show what he could do, but his solid physical skills and smarts were still attractive to pro scouts. ESPN's Michael Smith expects Edwards to push J.P. Losman, even if the newcomer is unlikely to move ahead of the veteran.
