According to ESPN's Ed Werder, Jones also said he is encouraged by Owens' recovery from two off-season surgeries to repair a torn tendon in the ring finger of his right hand and says that within the past week Owens has been able to catch passes in light throwing sessions with quarterbacks. Jones says the Cowboys have to be careful with Owens in upcoming minicamps, but they are confident that he'll be fully recovered in time for the beginning of training camp in July.
