Randy Moss Remains A Raider -- For Now
(4/28 10:18 PT)

The Facts:
Day 1 of the NFL Draft came and went with no trade that sent Moss to the Packers, the Patriots, or anywhere else. Now, if the Raiders want to get a 2007 draft pick for Moss, the highest they'll see is a fourth-round pick. But the alternative isn't to merely cut Moss. They can still trade him for a 2008 draft pick, and such a selection wouldn't hurt since a 2008 third-rounder was given up to the Pats along with a 2007 seventh-rounder for a New England pick at the bottom of round three. Reported by Profootballtalk.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As PFT editor Mike Florio noted, the only sure thing at this point is that Moss won't be a Raider in 2007. Interviews in which Lane Kiffin's only comment on Moss was to admit the mercurial receiver was still "on the roster" certainly made it sound as if that's a temporary condition. It's safe to assume Moss' salary of $9.75 million is too much to pay to a guy who doesn't want to be there. The question at this point is where he'll land. NFL Network analyst Matt Mayock is convinced it's New England. Florio is sold on Green Bay, although he suggests the Jags and Bucs might be in the mix. ... Stay tuned.
