Keyshawn Johnson Confirms He'll Play This Year
(4/29 10:17 PT)

The Facts:
Johnson said Saturday he's not ready to retire and plans to return to the Panthers this season. When ESPN's Chris Mortensen jokingly told Johnson he can retire now that the Panthers selected his apparent successor, Dwayne Jarrett, Johnson replied, "I don't know about next year, maybe the year after, but we'll see. But one year at a time at age 34." Johnson has three years left on his contract with the Panthers. Reported by the Gaston Gazette

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Panthers GM Marty Hurney told reporters last month that anticipated the veteran receiver returning for another season with the team, but this was our first official confirmation. In case you missed it, Johnson expressed reservations in December about playing for the Panthers if they fired offensive coordinator Dan Henning. Johnson has obviously overcome those reservations and even told ESPN viewers he was eager to work with Jarrett.
