The Facts:
Johnson was released by the Carolina Panthers Tuesday, leaving one of the NFL's most productive receivers looking for a third team in as many years. "They said they wanted to get younger," Johnson said. "That's fine with me. I'd like to go somewhere and help someone win another Super Bowl."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The move was somewhat surprising since the Panthers paid Johnson a $3-million roster bonus April 1. Adding to the surprise would be the fact that Johnson, who spent the weekend working for ESPN in New York during their NFL draft coverage, told viewers he was definitely returning to play another season -- undoubtedly assuming at the time he would be a Panther. Apparently second-round pick Dwayne Jarrett compares more favorably to Johnson -- in the eyes of team officials -- than any of us realized.
