Dolphins Prepared To Wait For Trent Green
(5/2 12:16 PT)

The Facts:
Dolphins GM Randy Mueller declined to discuss the Green trade further, but it is clear the team is prepared to wait until Green is released to acquire him rather than give up anything resembling the fourth-round pick the Chiefs are seeking. "Nobody wants that, but if that's the result, we'll take it," Mueller said. "We'll be fine." Reported by the Miami Herald

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The two teams haven't been able to find middle ground on a trade and (as previously noted) the Chiefs have no leverage in the situation. But that doesn't mean a trade won't get done. Look back to last year, when the Titans were in a similar situation with Steve McNair. In fact, Tennessee managed to drag the rather contentious situation out until the first week of June, when they finally agreed to a trade with Baltimore -- after more than a month of on-again, off-again talks. Don't be surprised if we see a similar outcome for Green.
