Curtis Martin Keeping His Options Open
(5/4 9:58 PT)

The Facts:
Martin is working out twice a week at the Jets' facility and he happily reported last night that he has maintained his playing weight, 206 pounds. Does that mean Martin, 34, who missed last season with a knee injury, is plotting a comeback? "I'm just keeping my options open and just trying to make sure I stay in shape," the Jets' all-time leading rusher said, commenting on his status for the first time since January. Reported by the New York Daily News

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
From all indications, Martin will announce his retirement by June 1. He claimed he hasn't made a decision, adding, "But I plan on doing it sometime soon. ..." For what it's worth raved about the acquistion of Thomas Jones. "I was totally in favor of that move," Martin said. "I think he's one of the complete backs in the NFL, and it's hard to find complete backs."
