Hicks signed his tender as a restricted free agent and is on hand for the team's mini-camp. The reserve RB is now under a one-year, $850,000 contract.

Although Hicks looked as if he might attract attention around the league, it appeared that teams were unwilling to sign him to a deal that the 49ers would have no problem matching. Meanwhile, HC Mike Nolan would like to see Hicks and Michael Robinson will contribute sufficiently this fall to reduce wear and tear on Frank Gore.
