Previous reports suggested that Hackett was the likely starter opposite Branch, but HC Mike Holmgren is now stressing the competition angle. "It should be real healthy," Holmgren said of the competition. "You have Hackett, you have Nate there. ... One of those guys is going to start. Right now it is up in the air. We will just let them go at it and see who emerges. ..." Based on their respective efforts last season, Burleson will have to pick up the pace considerably to beat Hackett out.
