The Facts:
Burress, who has been in New York for more than a week, confirmed today was the first day he participated in passing drills with Eli Manning. "I feel I'm one of the best players in the world at my position," Burress said. "If it takes me to come back and work with my quarterback right now to get to that level, then I'm more than willing to do that."

According to Star-Ledger staffer Mike Garafolo, Burress said he's here to stay and won't be departing before the veteran mini-camp in mid-June which marks the end of the off-season program. ... One down, one to go. Burress, who usually works out with Jeremy Shockey isn't sure of the tight end's whereabouts. In fact, Burress said all of his recent calls to Shockey's cell phone have gone right to voicemail, which Burress took as a sign that Shockey is on vacation somewhere. While it would be nice if both were on hand, just having one on board is a change from past seasons.
