Owens was going through drills with the rest of the receivers on Saturday morning, catching passes and all. So far, no drops, and his right ring finger is still attached.

Previous reporting has indicated Owens would attend and watch -- but not take part in -- drills during this week's mini-camp. According to Morning News staffer Tim MacMahon, some media types are speculating that T.O. wanted to make this mini-camp all about him, so he fooled the world into thinking he wouldn't be practicing. As MacMahon further suggested, if that was indeed the plan it's all but guaranteed to work. Expect wall-to-wall Owens coverage in coming days.
