The Facts:
Giants OC Kevin Gilbride believes Jacobs has the capabilities to succeed in the featured RB role previously held by Tiki Barber. During a mini-camp last weekend, Gilbride told reporters he thinks Jacobs is quicker than Barber. "I think this guy can (run the stretch); he's faster, he's faster than Tiki," Gilbride said of Jacobs.

The coach did have some questions, however. "It was his ability to cut back that made Tiki special. That's what I don't know with [Jacobs]. ..." Gilbride added: "Is he as tough and physical as you're looking for? I have no question about that, yes. Does he have the body, the height? You look at him and there's no question. But can he actually do that for 16 weeks? That's one of the things we're going to have to find out. ..." True enough; Fantasy owners should be looking for answers to those questions along with the Giants' coaching staff in coming months.
