The Facts:
Surry County (Va.) Commonwealth's Attorney Gerald Poindexter will meet with Sheriff Harold Brown and investigators Monday to review evidence of dog fighting discovered at a property owned by Vick. Poindexter would not say if he expected charges to be brought. Without reviewing the evidence, Poindexter declined to say if Vick was a focus of the investigation.

"I'm not going to be a party to a witch hunt," Poindexter said. "This [process] will not be driven by people who hate Michael Vick, love Michael Vick or people who love animals. ..." We'll remind you again, dogfighting is a felony in Virginia and is punishable by up to five years in prison. That said, Poindexter continues to stress that Vick is being viewed as nothing more than the property owner unless evidence reveals that he could be involved in illegal activity. ... Stay tuned.
