While the Pats have made contact with Brown, nothing is imminent in terms of bringing the 6-3, 220-pound former Titan running back aboard to shore up the backfield. "We've had some cursory conversations with the Patriots," said Wynn Silberman, who represents Brown.

Silberman, who we'll suggest isn't above floating rumors of interest in his client in an effort to attract further interest, told the Herald that Patriot officials felt Brown could be a nice fit in their offensive scheme and a nice complement to Laurence Maroney. ... The Packers, Dolphins and Titans have also been mentioned as possible destinations for Brown, who played in just five games last year for the Titans, partially because of injury.
