Keyshawn Johnson To Announce Retirement
(5/23 10:11 PT)

The Facts:
Johnson seriously considered resuming his football career with the Titans. But a job in television with ESPN was just too good to pass up, according to his agent. Johnson will officially announce his retirement at a press conference on Wednesday. Reported by the Nashville Tennessean

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Titans were made aware of Johnson's decision on Wednesday morning. Chances are, the Titans wouldn't have been able to reach the level of compensation Johnson will get from ESPN, where he's expected to work on the network's NFL shows as well as ABC and ESPN Radio. "This was the most comprehensive package ever offered to a professional athlete to leave his sport ever, as far as I've seen," agent Jerome Stanley said. "So after much thought he leaves with a smile on his face, not with tears and Kleenex."
