Warrant To Search Michael Vick Property Rejected
(5/29 1:46 PT)

The Facts:
Surry County Commonwealth's Attorney Gerald Poindexter has rejected a warrant to look for remains of pit bull dogs on the property that used to be owned by Vick. According to the now null and void search warrant, an informant told authorities that seven dogs were destroyed and buried on the property April 23rd, two days before Surry County initially raided the property. It goes on to say as many as 30 dog carcasses might be buried on the property. Reported by cbs4denver.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to the warrant, the U.S. Department of Agriculture Inspector General requested approval to go into a building on the backside of the property to pull up floor boards and wall boards looking for signs of blood. But Poindexter claims he and the sheriff "did not like the language" of the search warrant approved by a state magistrate at the request by a sheriff's office investigator. Worth noting: A sheriff's office investigator told reporters that there are no plans to re-apply for a warrant to search the property -- but that they may have enough evidence to go forward with charges. Hmmm. Stay tuned.
