Contrary to the report, which claimed that Martin has been "talking about trying to come back," Post staffer Mark Cannizzaro, citing a source familiar with both Martin's and the organization's thinking, confirms previous reports indicating Martin actually is plotting his retirement. Cannizzaro added: "The thought of Martin returning to play one more game or season with the Jets so that he can retire on his own terms is surely a romantic notion. ..."
