The Facts:
Walter had another off-season setback, this time in the form of arthroscopic surgery on a lingering knee injury. Walter was scoped Tuesday and will be out four to six weeks. Off-season workouts end next week, so Walter won't be on the field again until training camp begins July 27.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The injury isn't good news for the third-year player who started organized team activities as the No. 1 quarterback in March, only to watch the Raiders draft JaMarcus Russell with the No. 1 overall pick and then trade for Josh McCown from the Lions in a single late-April weekend. We already considered McCown and Russell to be ahead of Walter this offseason; this story adds to our conviction.
