A Virginia TV station is reporting that investigators are on the Surry County property owned by Vick executing a federal search warrant. WAVY reported the latest search. The warrant is part of an ongoing investigation into dog fighting at the property owned by Vick.

Commonwealth attorney Gerald Poindexter and sheriff Harold Brown refused to execute a warrant last week based on information from a police informant to search for up to 30 dog carcasses buried on the property. Poindexter and Brown both said this week that the warrant could be re-issued and the search executed. Federal authorities have reached that point and it appears Poindexter is no longer in charge. ...
