Jones originally signed with Cleveland in May 2003 as an undrafted free agent from Iowa but spent 11 games on the inactive list and the other five weeks on the practice squad. He was on the Browns' practice squad for the entire 2004 season. He had 10 catches in NFL Europa in the spring of 2005, but was cut by Cleveland before the 2005 opener and by Seattle in last year's training camp.
