The Facts:
A league source tells us that the Dolphins are suspicious that one or more teams have been engaged in direct communications with Culpepper. Since Culpepper acts as his own agent, it should be easy for the Dolphins to prove it.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As PFT editor Mike Florio explained, agents with multiple clients can easily cover discussions with teams. Culpepper can't and his phone records would be quite telling. Florio went on to advise readers he's been told the Dolphins -- due to their suspicions -- will not release Culpepper until late July, at the earliest. Culpepper's value to his new team will be diminished if he doesn't get a chance to join it until training camp already has begun. Since the Fins think that one or more teams are responsible for Culpepper's current refusal to restructure his contract to facilitate a trade, team officials plan to play hardball on this one.
