a previous item. ... HC Tom Coughlin was asked about Burress' surgically repaired ankle after Wednesday's practice. "He has an ankle that was cleaned out this offseason," Coughlin said. "So he is going to be working on the side and in the meetings. But he can't go."

Burress, who had the procedure three months ago, was asked about the ankle, too. "I'm not concerned about it," the veteran receiver said. "The progress is good. I'm probably feeling about 90 percent. I could probably go out and do it. But there's no reason for me to go back there and set myself back now. I want to get it to a hundred percent. ..." While it doesn't appear the injury will be an injury going forward, it's obviously worth watching this summer.
