The Facts:
Tuesday afternoon during a 150-minute discussion with Johnson and his agent, Alvin Keels, I was left with the clear impression that the Pro Bowl running back believes he may be forced to sit out training camp to resolve his contract impasse with the Chiefs. "He's going to test me," Johnson said of team president Carl Peterson.

Pressed further, Johnson told Star columnist Jason Whitlock he's talked to HC Herman Edwards about a possible holdout and added: "I'm prepared," Johnson. "They (my agent and father) got me saving money. ..." While the notion Johnson, due to make $1.7 million this season, might hold out to get a new deal isn't new, his willingness to discuss the situation openly with Whitlock is very interest. We highly recommend reading the full interview. Meanwhile, the situation bears watching and we'll continue to do so.
