The Facts:
Finneran recently had reconstructive surgery on his left knee that will end his season and could jeopardize his career. This is the second straight season Finneran will miss because of major surgery to the knee to repair torn ligaments. HC Bobby Petrino said Finneran underwent a reconstructive procedure that will require nine to 12 months of rehabilitation.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Finneran re-injured the knee in May while doing some light running drills as part of his rehabilitation. He injured the knee initially in a non-contact passing drill during training camp in 2006. With Finneran out, a roster spot is vacated and AJC staffer Steve Wyche reports that rookie Laurent Robinson, second-year player Adam Jennings and free agent Fred Gibson are the leaders to fill in that role after offseason workouts.
