Johnson caught nine passes for 156 yards for the Vikings last season. He played for the New England Patriots from 2003-05. The 28-year-old Johnson averaged 24.6 yards on 147 career kickoff returns, including two touchdowns of 90-plus yards. He has four touchdown receptions. His arrival in Houston could be a bad sign for incumbent (but oft-injured) return man Jerome Mathis.
