According to league sources, Brown has reached agreement on a one-year deal that will bring him back to New England for a 15th season.

Off-season additions Randy Moss, Wes Welker, Donte' Stallworth and Kelley Washington are part of a deep field that includes holdovers Reche Caldwell and Jabar Gaffney, as well as Brown and Chad Jackson. With the Pats likely to keep only five or six wideouts, Brown will battle Washington, Gaffney and Caldwell for the final two to three spots. According to the Herald, Jackson, who underwent off-season knee surgery, will probably start the year on the physically unable to perform list.
