The 49ers have agreed to terms with Hilton, who should join the club for training camp next week, according to league sources. The move could be announced as early as today.

Hilton has played in 18 NFL games, including 15 (with six starts) in '05 with the Saints. He caught 35 passes for 396 yards with one touchdown. Last season, he was twice waived by the Jets and did not suit up for any games. Hilton will battle for a roster spot with the 49ers behind starter Vernon Davis. He'll compete against Delanie Walker and Billy Bajema for a place on the 53-man roster.
