The Facts:
While his Falcons teammates step onto the field for the first practice of training camp next week, Vick will be in a court in Richmond, Va., facing federal charges for dog fighting. Vick is to make his initial court appearance July 26, according to a summons issued Wednesday, a day after Vick and three others were indicted by a federal grand jury.

The Falcons' first practice begins at 3 p.m. the same day -- a coincidence that promises to fuel the media maelstrom swirling around the team. ... For what it's worth, Falcons owner Arthur Blank told the AJC he planned to spend Wednesday gathering facts and talking with league and team officials. Blank said the team could have a statement or an announcement later Wednesday. We'll remind you that Blank met with Vick in early May and in a "stern" conversation. Blank said the talk was mostly one-sided but that he would trust and believe in Vick unless proven otherwise. ... Stay tuned.
