Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Bucs already have seven quarterbacks on the roster including Jeff Garcia, Simms, Bruce Gradkowski, Luke McCown and Jake Plummer, who seems unlikely to play again. Garcia has been declared the starter. .. If Times staffer Rick Stroud is right about Simms being the odd man out, it could be the best thing that ever happened to him. As the Sports Xchange recently noted, Simms is a pure dropback passer who never seemed to be a good fit in the system. On top of that, Simms is left-handed, which screws up Jon Gruden's play-calling. A change of scenery could be just what the doctor ordered.
