The Facts:
Following up on
a previous item. ... St. Louis and Bulger would like to agree to a new deal before training camp kicks off. In an effort to make it happen, Bulger's representative, Tom Condon, is scheduled to be in St. Louis on July 24. The two sides aren't close enough to think a deal could happen yet.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
But as NFL Network insider Adam Schefter suggests, that's what face-to-face talks are for. They are designed to bridge the gap that exists between the sides. Last week, HC Scott Linehan expressed optimism a deal would be brokered. Bulger, who can become a free agent in 2008 if also would like to see one done. But Schefter added there still remains plenty of work, enough so that no one can be sure if Bulger will land the deal he wants -- although it's
clearly in the Rams best interest to get something done.
