The Facts:
There's talk in league circles that Culpepper isn't physically ready to resume playing football, and probably won't be until the end of the 2007 season, at the earliest. If so, anyone who signs him now would basically be squatting on his rights for 2008.

According to PFT editor Mike Florio, the Jaguars remain in the hunt to sign him despite any health issues. Some believe Culpepper is waiting to see what the Falcons do but it appears Atlanta is ready to roll with Joey Harrington as their starter for now. ... Culpepper tore three ligaments in his knee in October 2005 and hasn't been the same since. But as Florio suggests, if he can ever get back to 100 percent Culpepper could still be one of the better QBs in the league.
