The Facts:
Former Ohio State quarterback Smith was one of four rookies the Baltimore Ravens signed to three-year contracts Tuesday. The defending AFC North champions also signed University of Maryland offensive tackle Jared Gaither, who was a fifth-round supplemental pick. Yamon Figurs was also signed as a wide receiver and return specialist, and linebacker Prescott Burgess was also signed, the team said.
