Bob Harris' View:
The tight-end position is becoming very watered down in Oakland. Obviously, the Raiders do not need four TEs. The idea of dangling Jolley as Trade Bait does make sense, but don't expect a trade to happen -- they are a rarity in the NFL. If Jolley remains in Oakland look for a Tight-End-By-Committee approach with Jolley, Johnson, and Williams sharing most of the time. Unfortunately for Jolley, the article also states this: "Jolley, who caught 32 passes for 409 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie in 2002, disappeared amidst a struggling offense last season and remains rather one-dimensional as a pass catcher." Given the current situation I expect Teyo Johnson to be the best fantasy TE coming out of Oakland, but not by much. The committee approach will prevent Johnson, or any Oakland TE, from becoming a top 10 TE in 2004.
