Holmes, one of the top rookies in the NFL last season, is still day-to-day after undergoing a medical procedure about which HC Mike Tomlin has not been specific, only saying it was not football-related. "We'll look at it again," Tomlin said of Holmes' condition after the second of two practices yesterday, "and we'll go from there."

Holmes, who is expected to line up as the starting wideout opposite Hines Ward this year, opened camp on the PUP list. He can be added to the regular roster at any time during training camp.
