The Facts:
Appearing at the U.S. Courthouse in Richmond, Va., Michael Vick pleaded not guilty to dog-fighting related charges and asked for a jury trial. When the court asked for his plea, Vick resolutely said "Not guilty." The judge set the trial date for Nov. 26. Federal prosecutors announced that a "superceding" indictment will be entered by August, meaning more charges are possible.

I take the charges very seriously, and I look forward to clearing my good name," Vick said in a statement read by his attorney Billy Martin after the hearing was over. The statement included an apology to teammates. ... It's worth noting the judge ordered Vick to surrender any animal breeder or kennel licenses. He cannot buy or sell dogs. Vick is not required to wear an electronic ankle bracelet or undergo drug testing, but he is prohibited from travel without permission. ... Stay tuned.
