The San Francisco 49ers signed Hill to a contract Thursday. Hill, a third-round selection, became the seventh draft pick signed by San Francisco.

With off-season acquisitions Darrell Jackson (toe) and Ashley Lelie (leg) likely to be limited -- at least early in training camp -- Hill could have a chance to show off his skills. Although he relies more heavily on a physical running style than his speed, Hill is considered a threat once the ball is in his hands.
