The Facts:
Although HC Tom Coughlin told reporters that Toomer, coming off a torn ACL, has made good progress, the coach went on to note the veteran wideout will be limited early in camp. "He is scheduled to go once a day," Coughlin said. "I hope it is a full-fledged [practice], but I think we are going to have to work our way into that. We would not just throw him out there and let him go."

Coughlin's stance on Toomer is consistent with what team officials and the receiver himself have said all along. With a pair of younger receivers -- Sinorice Moss and rookie Steve Smith -- in need of reps, Toomer's lighter workload will afford them additional work.
