The Facts:
On Friday, the Dolphins signed Anderson, who was cut by the Raiders on Thursday. Anderson was scheduled to take a red-eye flight in order to arrive in South Florida early Saturday. He is not expected to practice during the team's first workout at 8:15 a.m., but he should be ready by the afternoon session.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
According to Herald staffer Jeff Darlington, Anderson's presence could make for an unexpected battle for the starting job at tight end. HC Cam Cameron is said to be intrigued by Anderson's size. At 6-6, 270 pounds, his build is similar to that of Antonio Gates, who Cameron turned into a star for the Chargers. Starting 24 games the past two seasons, Anderson has the experience necessary to compete with David Martin, who is currently slated as the team's starter.
