The Facts:
Cushing signed a one-year contract Friday, the second tight end to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers in as many days. Veteran Marco Battaglia signed a one-year contract Thursday with the Steelers. By securing the two tight ends, the Steelers added depth to a position that was in need of bodies after Jay Riemersma was released prior to the free-agency period.
