The nine-year pro has been the most impressive newcomer during the first two days of the Broncos' training camp, starting at split end with flanker Javon Walker. Stokley made one head-turning move after another while convincing himself and his new team that he's healthy again.

Stokley ruptured his right Achilles' tendon last December, leading to his off-season release from the Indianapolis Colts and scaring away potential suitors in free agency. According to AP sports writer Arnie Stapleton, "Early indications are he could be the steal of the offseason. ..." An interesting review -- especially in light of the other reports indicating that Stokley and Rod Smith might be competing for one roster spot. Stay tuned.
